iPad in a sentence

iPad: Observations after 10 days of use

The good:

Should be standard issue in couch-potato heaven

Almost delivers the promise of Neal Stephenson's Diamond Age: A young lady's illustrated primer: another product I would heartily recommend.

Cool apps: Elements has to be the coolest app, especially the song and 3d glasses (on order)

Cool News: wsj, nyt, economist, guardian, FT, web or app : who cares! It's there in glorious color in it's native design logic and look (I cannot forgive the Kindle for destroying the Economist by stripping font, logo and design).

The bad:

Can' categorize or organize apps after initial app mania filled my screens, too painful to reorganize icon by icon on iTunes or on iPad,

Can someone tell me how to navigate up to the top of a mail thread without the finger scrolling thing? Drives me nuts on an otherwise fine mail app!

iTunes store does not allow getting multiple apps in one go, and does not even index back to same app page after downloading one app

The ugly:

Nothing yet, it's a beautiful thing
